Hard Maps typically only have a decent amount of potential placement spots with somewhat adequate coverage, featuring short to medium paths with little to no curves / bends. Additionally, they commonly have a several significant obstructions or large areas on which towers cannot be placed, preventing more than just a few towers from being able to cover significant portions of the path.

As a result of these factors, Hard Maps require a significant of consideration and agency in order to be successfully defended, with small mistakes in placement or deciding between farming and defending often leading to irrevocable losses.
